whats the best kind of paint to use when painting a guitar? lacquer? enamel? acrylic?

I have a shitty Washburn that was a pussy bright red color. I just sanded it down and painted it camoflauge with regular arts and craft paint from Wal-Mart, then glued beer bottle caps all over the body. It looks like pure shit but everyone thinks it's cool :tup:

For solid colors, your best bet is to go to an auto supply store and pick up a can or two of duplicolor auto spray laquer, some primer, and clear coat.
