Well there you go again. Let's group everyone into one category and try as hard as we can to differentiate ourselves from that category no matter how much we have to stretch the truth or just outright lie about ourselves. The Doctor wrote:Then you're a herd and consequently fail.BassPhemy wrote:That's what happens on the PBB. So would you call that whining, or arrogance?BassPhemy wrote:Well there you go again. I should clarify, letting things that may or may not be bothering you in real life reflect here. If I'm ever in a bad mood, this is generally the last place I'll come to vent in any form. The Doctor wrote:Ok, fair enough. But when did I bring my personal life here?Pfl?yd wrote:
Hate to say it, but Bassphemy brings up a point. It's like a prison here, you let anyone in on anything they can later use against you and they will eventually. That's why i just come here to fuck around occasionally and leave my personal life at the Login Screen.
It's a distraction and nothing more.

of course you could. chop up the amen break, set your BPM to 160, make seemingly random patterns but assure people its all intentional, put some synth sounds over that and maybe a few samples, and there you have it. also, i love electronic music.

You could do that with any style music, in theory. You can listen to music like DEP or Behold the Arctopus and think that it's all random, but it's very orchestrated.A Lurking Dream wrote:of course you could. chop up the amen break, set your BPM to 160, make seemingly random patterns but assure people its all intentional, put some synth sounds over that and maybe a few samples, and there you have it. also, i love electronic music.

You're right. I couldn't. But that's only because I don't have enough fingers to do so.A Lurking Dream wrote:well, they could pick up a guitar and play the songs for you. could the doctor sit in front of a sampler pad and play all the hits exactly like they are in one of his songs?
By the way, it's more like 210BPM and I've never sampled "Amen Brother".

Is the composer's job to even play an instrument let alone all of them?Lando Griffin wrote:Could a composer play all the instruments of a symphony he wrote at the same time? The approach of an electronic musician really isn't any different.Kellan wrote:Is the composer's job to even play an instrument let alone all of them?Lando Griffin wrote:Could a composer play all the instruments of a symphony he wrote at the same time?
