CHIMAIRA: U.S. Headlining Tour Announced - Aug. 17, 2011

Cleveland, Ohio metallers CHIMAIRA will embark on a headlining tour this fall with support from REVOCATION, RISE TO REMAIN and IMPENDING DOOM.

The dates for the trek, dubbed "The Age Of Hell Tour", are as follows:

Oct. 12 - Philadelphia, PA - Trocadero
Oct. 14 - Joliet, IL - Mojoe's
Oct. 15 - Minneapolis, MN - First Ave
Oct. 17 - Denver, CO - Summit
Oct. 18 - Salt Lake City, UT - Club Sound

Oct. 21 - Portland, OR - Peter's Room
Oct. 24 - Los Angeles, CA - Key Club
Oct. 25 - Tucson, AZ - The Rock
Oct. 27 - San Antonio, TX - White Rabbit
Oct. 28 - Dallas, TX - The Door
Oct. 29 - Houston, TX - Fitzgerald's
Oct. 31 - Orlando, FL - Firestone
Nov. 01 - Atlanta, GA - Masquerade
Nov. 03 - New York, NY - BB King Blues Club & Grill
Nov. 04 - Pittsburgh, PA - Mr. Smalls

what? technical metal that actually has a god damn soul? yeah. it's pretty amazing actually, considering how every other band that can play in that style is fucking soulless. it's not my fault that Chimaira is left over garbage form the 90's.

I haven't been this blown away by and excited about a guitarist since Joe Haley (Psycroptic). Though Davidson is goddamn amazing they still sound like a band and not the least bit show-offy or pretentious. I think one of the main things that set them apart from other technically great bands and more like a modern amped up version of old school thrash is that their music is.. fun, and doesn't try to sound smart. Fuck yeah. Wish they'd make a stop a little closer to me than West Hollywood though

I'm not really obsessed with them. I wouldnt even place them in my top 10. I really just like a few of their songs. I do follow them though and wish them well, cause they are hometown boys. Well, like 2 of them now.

Still doesnt change the fact that when I listen to Revocation songs, nothing about them makes my balls twitch.
