Nice!!!!

Here are some points that may help you pin point the year on the L50.

Model: L-50 Acoustic Archtop
Available: 1932 to 1971.
Collectibility Rating: D- (a very basic non-cutaway model).

1946 to 1971 style L-50.

1934 L-50 specs:
19.25" long, most with "F" holes, standard trapeze tailpiece, elevated pickguard.

1935 L-50 specs:

I'm no guitarist, but I figured someone here could answer this question --

Why in the FUCK does this finish have that terrible line in the middle of the body? This has always bugged the SHIT out of me.

Yeah I know it's the least collectible one since it was basically the lowest cost one in the line of hollowbodies but it doesn't sound cheap. :D

That's not the finish, that's two pieces of maple butted up against each other. Most Les Pauls I've seen are like that. More expensive guitars are sometimes made with one piece.

I've never played a Les Paul. I've played a bad rip-off that a friend of mine has but not a real expensive Gibson. They'll rape you at Guitar Center if you grab one off the wall and they're also usually the closest to the ceiling.

CFB is right. That's called "bookmatching", although this particular guitar does not show that it was matched well. It's hard to do which is why you have to have your own money press to get a guitar w/ proper bookmatching.

Nice collection overall. That cab is sweet, and the Boogie you've got has always been one of my fave high-gain amps. Much better than that garbage they're making now, unless you want to sound horrible like Disturbed or Drowning Pool. Randall Smith took a sharp wrong turn w/ the Rectifier series.
