I just bought one of these.

The place to talk about instruments, tab, the bands gear and anything else musically related.

I already have a five-string, no need to get another. This will be more for my avant-garde projects.

Yeah, I played a bunch of new hip instruments and realized you really can't beat the classic. Versatility is key.

One day I'll get me a sexy Fender Jazz bass. Maybe I'll even go fretless.

I used to have a fretless but I never played it enough to justify the amount of space it took up when I moved, so I got rid of it. I like the sound of them a lot, but I never use them in actual band situations. Playing live with one sucks because you have hear yourself very carefully and I generally play in *loud* bands.

It's fairly inexpensive for what you are getting. I wanted something active and decent. I was looking ath the Geddy Lee model too, but those were passive and even *more* expensive.
