Definetely the "far beyond driven" + "great southern trendkill" era. The down album around this time was good to. All the songs on these albums piss on anything else before or after (not just pantera)
All pantera albums are good, although the pre cowboys stuff is a little bit sketchy.
Pantera was definetely the rock band EVER bar none! I have been into then for well over a decade and I think it more now that I did back then
Simply superb!

Re: Best Pantera Song
I would say that the best Pantera song is "Walk". It has a simple, but KICKASS riff. As a pro bass player for my metal band, Acid Tripp, I love to pound this song out with my band mates!!Vinnie P wrote:So what do you out there iun the rest of the world think the best pantera song is? I think its 5 Minutes Alone, The Underground in America, Domination or Revolution is My Name

nope. arayas style of singing is a major drawback of slayer. not enough to make me not listen to them, but if he had more of a gravely scream rather than the "my pants are too tight" scream, they'd be a helluva lot better.CliffandJason-BASS wrote:yes slayer is pretty cool. i like all them spiffy rifs and cool bass lines. tom and so bad at vocals either.
