AMORPHIS, SWALLOW THE SUN, INSOMNIUM: European Tour Dates Announced
Finland's AMORPHIS will embark on a European tour in November. The first leg of the "Silent Waters European Tour" will take AMORPHIS to Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Norway and Sweden before the band returns to Finland for a concert at Nosturi in Helsinki. Support on the trek will come from SWALLOW THE SUN and INSOMNIUM. The dates are as follows:

Nov. 22 - Colos-Saal, Aschaffenburg (DE)
Nov. 23 - Helling, Utrecht (NL)
Nov. 24 - Dordrecht Bibelot (NL)
Nov. 25 - Biebob, Vosselaar (BE)
Nov. 27 - Sticky Fingers, Gothenburg (SE)

AMORPHIS's new album, "Silent Waters", is scheduled for release on August 29 (Finland)/August 31 (other countries). Like its predecessor "Eclipse", the new CD will be thematically based on an episode from Finland's national epic, the "Kalevala".
"Silent Waters" was recorded at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki, Finland. Mixing duties were handled by Mikko Karmila (NIGHTWISH, STRATOVARIUS) at Finnvox studios.

well since they are getting the material from the Kalevala, then I'm going to assume it will be progressive melodic metal with a folk influence like their previous album. but maybe, just maybe, it will sound like isthmus
