doesn't the order of the bands playing depend on who has sold the most record sales? still, despite their popularity, I am very shocked that trivium has sold more copies than machine head. They have several solid albums under their belt and been out for years. surely they must have sold a decent about of albums.

yes and I don't understand why this is so hard for people to comprehend. when people say dumb shit like "OMG why the fuck is Hypocrisy opening for Fear Factory, Hypocrisy is way better Fear Factory sucks LoLZ" I try explaining that concerts are a business and are trying to make money. You can't make money by having a band that sells 1,000 albums headline over a band that sells a million albums. This is just one of those little things that annoys me about stupid metal fanboys.Bodom J wrote:doesn't the order of the bands playing depend on who has sold the most record sales?

So you really think the people considering going to a show headlined by Lamb of God, would be more inclined to go with Trivium, who has really done nothing in their short lived career, playing a longer set over Machine Head, a band who has had multiple metal "hits" over the last decade?buck satan wrote:yes and I don't understand why this is so hard for people to comprehend. when people say dumb shit like "OMG why the fuck is Hypocrisy opening for Fear Factory, Hypocrisy is way better Fear Factory sucks LoLZ" I try explaining that concerts are a business and are trying to make money. Million albums eh? Looks like they have a long way to go.buck satan wrote: You can't make money by having a band that sells 1,000 albums headline over a band that sells a million albums.

Scroll down to the bottom. 245,000 albums eh? Wow. That's kind of close to a million.
And then
Now be quiet when grown folks are talking. Trivium lover.By 2002, Machine Head had sold over 1.3 million albums worldwide
