I was going to buy a Tacoma/Olympia one and found out that Fender bought them out and cut production on them. Fuckers.

So I'm looking at this Dean one:

I've read a lot of good reviews of the Performer model and this is the "high-end" Performer. I think it looks awesome. Anyone ever played one or know anything about them?

I've played a couple Dean acoustics... not the bass though. They were pretty good.

I think I'm going to buy it. I can't find anything around here (in a music town no less) and the thing will pay for itself since acoustic duo gigs seem to pay more here than full-blown rock gigs.

The fucker finally showed up this morning. It's not much different neckwise from my Jazz bass, so I was plonking away pretty quickly. It sounds pretty sweet acoustically (though not as loud as an acoustic guitar) but plugged into an amp with the Fishman piezo and it sounds beautiful. It sounds way deeper than my Jazz or Ibanez (which will be good for acoustic jazz gigs) and you can adjust the preamp and make it sizzle pretty nicely.

This thing rules.

Upload a picture to Photobucket or something, then get the link and make sure there are image tags around it.

Look for the big red button that says "Register Now!"

Once you are registered you can log in to upload pictures.

Go under the "Upload Images & Videos" part and click "browse".

From that window find the picture that you want to upload, select it and click "OK" and then click "upload".

Then go down to the picture and highlight and copy the line of text in the "IMG Code" box.

Paste the text into a reply on this message board and there you go.
