metal 4 lyfe!

Metal is not the only music. But Dime is unequalled. Unrivalled. Unmatched.Acrid Resplendancy wrote:uhh yeah... about the whole Dime wass the greatest guitarist "ever" thing. Dime was without doubt the coolest musically gifted metal player that has ever lived but metal isn't the only music. There are a score of players who are "better" guitarists its just they kick less ass and have in comparison no charisma. But you guys are probably gonna make some ill judged comment like "Metal is the only music you wanker!!" so why do i bother??? But yeah i fucking love the man. From now, if you can, please say that Dime's legacy was the greatest to have graced metal and was tragically short-lived. *hats off*

slipknot blow fat donkey dick and are uncomparable to pantera or dime. My advice: get inspired by someone other than any member of slipcock or whatever the fuck.
reccomendations: listen to Yngwie Malmsteen, Buckethead, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Satriani,.....the good shit.

Dimebag R.I.P
I just had the fucking luck to get into Dimebags insane guitar playing when he died, which fucking sucks. But Pantera are still one of my favourite bands to ever exist and Dimebag brought all that is worth something to guitar soloing and has inspired many. To the dude who put slipknot and Pantera in the same sentence, wtf????? get some taste. To the motherfucker who took Darrels life. FUCKING ROT IN HELL ASS LICKER!!! This year my bands doing a tribute gig for Dimebag, we just think it's a nice thought and a fucking kwl memorial service! My heart goes out to his family and family and i will definately be thinking of him. Nearly 2 years man. He did influence one of the other great guitarists of all time, and that was his 'brother' Zack Wylde.
Take it easy Dime. Hope your doing the same as you would here dude.

When he died, part of heavy metal died too, he is definitely one of the most influential guitar players in the history of the heavy metal, thank u for the music you gave to the world.

Dime was the best. Purely guitar-wise im sure there is other great guitarists aswell.. like Yngve Malmsteen, Steve Vai, John Petrucci and Satriani.. but as far heavy metal goes.. no one can ever match Dime. He had charisma, he had spirit.. he played with his whole soul and being.. and he will never be forgotten, cus he lives on through his music.

I never got to meet Dime, but this is what I think he gave and is still giving to me:
The Past: The feeling I got when me and 5 of my closest brothers would fill a fucking car that only has four seats in it to go see Dimebag rip Dallas wide the fuck open. I will always treasure those days. I thank God that I got to see Pantera live.
The Present: The fact that I can put any Pantera video on that I want and by the time I'm totally wasted I can still raise my fucking beer up in the air and see Dimebag raising one back at me.
The Future: I can tell my sons that aside from being a badass guitarist, Dime was also a good person and that's what they should strive to be.
R.I.P. Dimebag
I learned alot from you and that is worth more than money.

First that took me a few minutes to comprehend with the chatspeak and mispellings, second I'm a fan of all rock be it, Pantera, Slipknot, Hendrix, or Clapton, third you can't even spell Zakk Wylde right, what the fuck? But sadly I have to agree with you and ...get up and kill!!!, Mick is a good guitarist, but him and Dime are no where near being on the same level.VULGARCOWBOY420 wrote:fuck slipknot in thare faget magit assholes and u for got zak wylen
I agree on him having more talent.Dime4ever wrote:Screw slipknot, they werent even close to how good pantera was. Nine idiots on stage. Dimebag as a person had more talent than any of those guys do.
If I learned one thing in my whole life it was from a great man, a god, a legend, "Dimebag" Darrell Lance Abbott. Listening to things he said, watching his videos, and seeing how his friends talked about him taught me what life is really about. It's about putting your whole heart and soul into doing what you love and doing whatever it takes to achieve what you really want in your heart. He went on stage and put his all not only into his music but into his life, and I learned that's not just about doing an activity that you love, but it goes for the people in your life. Let your feelings be known, you never know when you're not going to wake up, so today, do and say what you want, what is truely in your heart before your time is up and you can't. Carpe Diem! Sieze The Day!
R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell Lance Abbott

Dimebag's sound is/was absolutly amazing. I use a crate gt 80 guitar combo and a old korg a5 pedal board. anyone could tell me which settings are the best to get Dimebag's sound?
- Amp (gain, bass, mid, treble)
- Korg (Distortion, Compressor, EQ, Chorus)
Setting tipps from 1 - 10 for each would be great!!!
Sorry I'm coming from Germany so it's not all correct what I wrote I hope you know what I mean
Thank you
