Holland Roadburn Festival bands announced

Post by CFH Eternal »

Long-running Oakland, California-based industrial/alternative/metal pioneers NEUROSIS have been confirmed as the headliner of the 12th annual Roadburn Festival, which will take place April 20-21, 2007 at the 013 Club in Tilburg, The Netherlands. NEUROSIS will perform an exclusive European show at the festival on Saturday, April 21. Also scheduled to appear on the Saturday Roadburn date are OM, THE HIDDEN HAND, RED SPAROWES, PELICAN, CIRCLE, GROWING, ORTHODOX, COLOUR HAZE, ACID KING, THRONES, AMEN RA, STINKING LIZAVETA and BLACK COBRA.

The legendary BLUE CHEER (also doing a one-off show) and seminal riff-rock evangelists THE MELVINS will headline the Friday Roadburn date, April 20, 2007. BIG BUSINESS, ORANGE SUNSHINE, GURU GURU, SUNDIAL, [MEN OF] PORN, PHARAOH OVERLORD, CAUSA SUI, JOSIAH, SIENA ROOT, EARTHLING SOCIETY, ON TRIAL, VOLT and ROTOR will also play on Friday, April 20, 2007.

Renowned art-designers MALLEUS will expose their poster-art at Roadburn 2007. Malleus' art has been featured in the books: "The Art of Modern Rock" by Dennis King and Paul Grushkin together with artists such as Kozik, Derek Hess, Coop, etc, as well as "Swag posters of the Nineties" by Judith Salavetz.

Originally a spin-off of the Roadburn web site, the Roadburn Festival has emerged as an event in its own right. It brings together bands, fans and media from around the world. Despite its international acclaim, Roadburn retains an underground vibe and ethics, but with seriously big-league production values. Tickets on sale now.

It's a pretty cool festival but every year all the great bands play in the small venue which sucks. It's packed like a can of sardines. I can't handle that shit when I'm stoned. Plus it's too fucking hot.
