When I first heard Pantera, it blew my mind. The first time I seen them in concert was in 88 or 89 at Hara Arena in Dayton Ohio. I had heard them before, but when seeing them in concert I found a new religion. There is nothing better than this, nothing harder, nothing faster. It's a mix of heavy metal, rock and roll, thrash metal. I have seen them nine or ten times, every time they made it to the Dayton area. I have been in the first three rows for every show, hell it was a pit, I was everywhere. I have at least one pick from every show I have been to . I just can't say enough about how much dime and the band meant to me. Dime and his brother created this. It's a new lifestyle for everyone and something that I just don't want to have to give up. I heard that there was a shooting at a Columbus club but at first I thought it was like some kind of hip hop club. Then the next day my friend called me early in the morning and told me what had happened. I'm never going to get over this, I think about it every day. Me and my ole lady and my friend went to Columbus to the Alrosa Villa the night after the candlelight vigil was held. I still can't believe he's gone. I went up to Columbus that night, but I feel like it's not enough. I can't show enough respect or show everyone how important this one guitar player meant to me. How special his music was and how well it was put together. The riffs they came up with was as natural as the air. There is nobody stronger. They are it. I don't know how to show how much I love Him or the band Pantera. But me and my ole lady, on 02-09-05 had a baby boy and with much love we named him after dime, and Kurt Cobain, JEREMY ABBOTT COBAIN LATTIMER. I am so sorry to the Abbott family and I will never forget you, it's in my kid's name. I love you forever and I don't want anyone to forget you. My oldest kids are 5, and the know every word to ''walk" and "this love". If anybody reads all of this, I know it's long. Me, my family and friends will be at the rock in the parking lot of alrosa villa on the one year mark of this tragedy. So nobody forgets what a great guitarist we have lost. Please, anyone that loves dimebag and can make it to Columbus, please come to make sure that no one forgets. RIP DIMEBAG....SMOKE WEED...
