Fruity Loops Help
I've had this for a while, mainly just so I could play the drum tracks my drummer sent me. But anyway I was wondering if someone with more experience could help me out. Can you record guitar tracks using fruity loops too then mix it with the drum tracks, or alternatively is there a program you could export fruity loops drum tracks onto and mix guitar tracks along side them?

The version I have (which is older) you couldn't do anything of the sort really. Even as a sequencer it's not particularly good.
Your best bet is to mix down the drum sequences to .WAV file and then dump them into a recording program.

Thanks. Any reccomendations for a recording program? I only have Audacity which is pretty much bog standard, though it gets the job done for quick recordings.

I use Sonar now, though I have Cubase too. For simple applications, I still like Cool Edit Pro because it records in WAV format right off the bat, so you can dump things recorded with Cool Edit into other programs. Sonar and Cubase have their own "files" they record into, likely so if you want to transfer to another computer or studio, that person also has to have the same program.dead forever wrote:Thanks. Yeah, the software isn't expensive, but the interface sure as hell is!croninburg wrote:I'm pretty sure that a full version of pro tools includes external hardware.dead forever wrote:I always though Pro Tools was the top of the range shit they charge you a small fortune for!

"Wow, look at ALL these features!"
"Now you just need the $12,000 mixing interface to use any of them other than the playback mode."
"Fuck."
Edit: does the board have AIDS or something?
