ATHEIST - Set To Appear At Auditory Assault Festival

Technical metal pioneers ATHEIST have announced their first American reunion show will take place at the inaugural Auditory Assault Festival, which will take place November 25th at Sonar in Baltimore, MD.

ATHEIST guitarist/vocalist Kelly Shaefer comments, "We are so pleased to be able to play as ATHEIST for the first time in America since 1991 and excited that it is part of a great new festival. As with our recent European festival shows, we will be performing songs from all 3 records, and we aim to make it a technical death metal extravaganza ATHEIST style!"

Other bands expected to perform include MONSTROSITY, CRETIN, PHOBIA, and MISERY INDEX among others.

A full lineup is expected to be announced shortly.

I'm pretty sure they arn't planning on making a new album, ever. it took them this long just to start playing live again.

If you can get to see these at all I would highly reccomend it. They should have had the big stage at Wacken instead of Soulfly. They never mentioned any new album during their set. I've never seen a band looked so pleased and pumped up for a show though and feeding off the crowd so much so maybe it will inspire them to write a new one. Either way, even if they just tour a lot now it'd be cool.

Also, Kelly Shaefer didn't pick up a guitar during the set.
