.. to sound good or to sound original?

I mean, if you can sound like everybody else, but people don't dislike your voice, is that better then sounding original but having some people having problems with your style?

Not asking specifically for myself here by the way, just wondering what people think. I've heard a few bands recently that have really stereotypical american rock band singers, even when these singers are from where O live in Ireland etc.

I'm really just curious about all the American accent fuelled singers out there, that when ya hear them they sound like an already established American band, but that's only because they're immitating the vocal stylings of such bands.

But It would be good if you could be both, but it depends on your definition of singing. If you class yourself as a singer you should at least sing through the majority of your performance. Other types of "singer" may in fact be screamers or talkers or just plain shite.

the best thing is to be original and good at what you do. otherwise you either just plain suck, or you sound like a thousand other people/bands.

yeah yeah, it makes sense.

You see all singers are unique and they have their own style of singing,, take Chris Cornelll for instance, no one tries to copy him because that's how it feels right to him.
