i played one of these in store over the weekend...didn't really like the feel of the neck or how it played. plus i found out that you have to use double-ended strings specifically made for this instrument...not good in the long run.

there must be some kind of promotion afoot however, because no less than 3 seperate salesmen asked me if i'd "checked out the new floyd rose axes yet."

i hate guitar salesmen who work on commission. makes me feel like i'm shopping for a used car.

no shit. they all come up, "Hey hows it goin, man?", "Fine." , "Well," they notice im playing something "you interested in that guitar?", my response "no im just lookin, man.", they then tramp off pissed cause they dont have a sale, and for the rest of the time im there they're dicks.

True Guitar Center horror story:
Me and my friend walk in, i pick up an RR they happen to have, and my friend picks up a guitar as well. We sit, plug in, start playin. Now we get going for about 2 min, when, from across the store, we hear some old guy fuckin around with a fender strat, LOUDLY! i can hear this motherfucker all through the store. This guy who worked there, lookin like Sammy Hagar, comes up to us and "Hey could you guys turn it down a bit? thanks" and walks away, to help this geezer with his strat. WE COULDNT HEAR OURSELVES SITTING RIGHT INFRONT OF THE FUCKING AMP! we HAD to turn ourselves up, just so we could barely hear over the old fucker. They let this guy blast SHIT for the entire time we were there (which was nearly two hours)

One more horror story:
Same place, about 3 weeks later. This was the final time we went in there. I was sittin, shredding on this Warlock. Neckthru, diamond inlays, was called 'Deluxe'. I was playing, rather good, i mean i was into it. No one had told me to turn it down, and i could hear myself nicely. It was blocking a three foot space between the guitar wall and the amp i was using. I was bent over, not careing, and Sammy Hagar once again, GRABS the headstock and pushes it out of his way. I stop, give him 'Fuck you' eyes, and move. He doesnt say SHIT. i.e "Hey dude could you move for a second," or 'hey man watch out', no grabs the fucker and pushes. Like i wasnt even there. He then walkes off, with this faggot in toe, following him to the fuckin keyboards which was twenty feet from me. Like i said that was the last fuckin time we went there. Fuck guitar center, and fuck people who work on commission, cause when they cant get money out of you, they act like youre not even there.
