ahh, thats Josh, he is the head bouncer @ the 9:30 Club in DC...he takes his plugs out when bands start playing (just in case someone who is crowd surinf over the rail grabs on and yanks one out) here is what he looks like with them in:

he is a very nice guy, but if you do not obery the rules of the 9:30 club be prepared to deal with is bad side (I have always stayed on his good side for the purpose of not getting my ass kicked)
