Didn't know where to post this but heres the thing.

Me and a couple of friends are going to do Hollow with a singer and 4 celli (cello in plural) and were gonna record it.
I would like for it to reach the hands of whomever it may concern. But especially the members of pantera to express my gratitude for the music and my sorrow for the loss.
Although i didnt know him personally it is a tragic event and since i listen to the music written and performed by Pantera, it somehow feels personal.

We picked the song before his tragic demise. And thus the song doesnt exactly express what we want to say but... still.

He is missed everywhere, and I'll try to keep my sorrow as a feeling of love and not succumb to the hate that arises when tragic and pointless events like these take place.

If somebody is offended by this I beg of their forgiveness. It is my most sincere wish to honour a fellow musician, a musician who has brought me much: Thoughts, hope, strenght and peace of mind.

Hehe i'm sure you wont, its not about that. We attend a school so whatever we do here is the schools responsability, thus the decision lies not within my power to make but with the chief of the project.

I am gonna make another shot at getting the permission though.

Why don't you and your friends write your own song for Dimebag...that way you don't have to worry about getting permission etc AND it will be more personal. You'll be able to express how you feel about dime's death a lot better than playing a cover.

My intent with this thread was not to draw attention to myself but to find out how i could send it (the recording) to the members of pantera to show my gratitude.
Its been recorded and gonna send it as soon as i find out where to.

and DBS, the only attention i get is the one you give, so if it dosnt suit you. Shut up and go someplace else and stop bothering ppl trying to show their sympathies in the way the find suitable.
