The rosewood skunk stripe on Fenders, This is a one piece maple neck. Does anyone know if it's for the truss rod installation or is it just for looks.

I prolly could have built the body, but as far as the neck and getting scale length right I don't have the foggiest idea how to do that.
you can order the fretboard already scaled to what you want from stew-mac
are you gonna bind the body and neck? that would look killer

Tone pros Tunomatic bridge, seymour duncan jb in the bridge and sh 59 in the neck.
Controls like a les paul, 2 vol, 2 tone, toggleswitch by the vol and tone knobs.
tone pros nashville bridges are awesome but you should consider schaller. it's way wider than the nashville so you can be fucking sure your intonation will be dead on

this one is set up for a 14" radius

Yeah, gonna bind it in black.
I've tried the roller bridges before. Not against them, I just didn't even think of them when ordering parts. The tone pros is already there.

He shot me some pictures of the body with the binding on it, but it's an in progress pic and covered with tape and glue, so not really worth posting.

Oil finish.

It looks a lot better in the flesh than the template did, very pointy but not too OTT. Is the idea that the groove on the underside of the body will fit to your left leg?

Yeah, so I can play it sitting down like a regular guitar, not pointing straight up with the fretboard by my face.
