It's obviously not pantera, but there's definitely some songs on that album that rip shit up.

That's what I have in now. It's really good, takes getting used to. Riffs aren't close to Pantera style, but that was the point, right? Pat has a great voice, but when I saw the video on the CD, dude, if you didn't know Pantera was split you'd think they had gotten a new bassist and Phil had gotten some piercings. It's cool, Pantera's better.

Of course it's not Pantera but it's still A really good band.
The vocals are alittle different but thats what they wanted.

I think the new found power album was just a layout of every thing damageplan was going to sound like or be about.
The next was supposed to start out real heavy
But its all just here say anyways.
DRINK CROWN AND LISTEN TO PANTERA!!!

it's pretty much a proven fact that if you think damageplan are good, you're an idiot.

It would rule if Vinnie had REx and Phil finish the unreleased Damageplan stuff that Dime recorded for their second album
It will never happen

I have all the Pantera albums but only bought the Damageplan album earlier this week. I would have to say that it is most definitely different from Pantera - in a 'they were still working out their sound' kind of way. It's a great album. I've no doubt they would have gotten better and better with each album had they had the chance. They had Darrell and Vinnie for christs sake - they could have done nothing BUT get better and better with each release. I'm just fucking shitful about the fact that we'll never get to hear second, third, fourth etc releases from Damageplan.
