One Thing that should have been done...

When Freddy Mercury died, there was a benefit concert involving singers from different bands from James Hetfield(stone cold crazy) to elton john and so on. The band Played the set with a guest singer for every song... It would have been cool to have the same with guest guitarists on every song.
Ex.: Jerry Cantrell on A New Level, then Zakk Wyled on War Nerve, The guys from Meshuggah on Walk, Etc...

Would make a Good Live DVD, I believe

bohemian rhapsody alone makes queen better than pantera. pantera had some sweet grooves and tunes most of the time, but they never did anything of that magnitude or brilliance and weren't capable of it. i'm not a big fan of queen, but comparing the two is silly, IN MY OPINION.

Do you get the ideas behind the sentences you read? Did I not clearly state that I was IN NO FUCKING WAY comparing the two bands. And really, believe me, the fans would be there, if that happened. You underestimate the number of people who would be interrested. I know I would.

I dunno. Phil Anselmo, William Duvall, Maynard James Keenan... I think. It was a couple years ago, I don't really remember that far back in the past.

Edit: after checking wikipedia, the Tsunami benefit concert had Pat Lachman (haha), plus Wes Scantlin (Puddle of Mudd), Ann Wilson (Heart), and Maynard James Keenan. Then there was the Heart tribute concert with Phil Anselmo and Duvall.

I remember at the time, everybody was saying Maynard James did the best job out of them all. I always rooted for Phil just because that'd be cool.
