This Aussie migrated to the US at 16, was playing with Chick Corea at 18, She is 23 now and currently touring with Jeff Beck... She is not "classically" beautiful, but damn she's hot. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/dc/Tal_Wilkenfeld.jpg/220px-Tal_Wilkenfeld.jpg http:...

Re: 5 or 4 string bass?

I am getting my wife a new Bass for xmas and I wondering if the extra cash is worth it for the 5 string. Would like to hear from some bass players on this one. Is the 5 string really better or just a gimmick that hardly gets used? How long has she been playing? If not long or just learning, don't c...

Gallien-Krueger makes a nice assortment of combos called the "backline" series. I've had the 100 watt 12" for about 6 years now. the 200 watt 2X10 combo kicks ass too.

Seasons change, dry skin, split cuticles..

Does anyone else have a problem with this? Every year going into fall and winter I get really dry skin, especially my hands. It gets so bad that my cuticles around my nails split and bleed. This makes it painful and uncomfortable to play (my bass). I have tried a few different hand cremes, but they ...
