I got my Mesa Boogie 50 Caliber Plus today

The guy shipped it well, I am just wondering since I am now looking at cabinets (Yes I know laugh but I am trying to get a good cabinet for a good deal) anyway I got two questions...
1. It is only rated 4 or 8 ohms in the back, that means it can go into a cabinet rated 16 ohms or 8 ohms right?
2. I think the only way to reach the preamp tubes is unscrew the front, is that correct?

1. yes, if the cabinet is switchable to 8 ohms, it's cool...
2. not sure...

i believe so, which means kirk uses an 800
i got a mark IV, mesas kick ass
EDIT: i'd like to take this time adn say that marshall is the most overrated and shitty amp brand
