I'm really pleased with this thing..
The Metal Shop upgrade was an absoloute MUST for good metal tones, though.
Rig:
Ibanez RGT -> Boss GE7 -> ISP Decimator -> Pod XT Pro ('Big Bottom' patch tweaked slightly).

Anyone got an XT too? Any patches to share or suggestions of how to improve my tone?
Cheers.
P.S. Fuck off Hippy, Aeon & Hektik.

Thanks guys
Ben..
Guitar rig in details was:
Ibanez RGT42DX
into
Boss GE-7 (Slightly cut bass, I find stock Ibanez pups to muddy things up a little

)
into
ISP Decimator
into
Pod XT Pro (Metal Shop upgrade, big bottom patch. I will share if anyone has a pod with the model pack upgrade).
into
M-Audio Audiophile 24/96
into
N-Track Studio software.
I also added a little BBE Sonic Maximizer on the guitar & a slight bit of Waves C4 compressionn on the lows & low mids to help the bottom end remain nice and tight.
As for the drums.. It's the very first DFH sample CD. It's ok, takes a long time to tweak, though.
The snare is one straight from CD with some heavy compression, slight EQ & Reverb.
The Kick is a multi-layered sample.. A DFH sample layered with a really clicky sample over it, toms also.
Cymbals are straight from the DFH CD with some minor tweaking.
Hope this helps bud. No bass on it yet!
Cheers.

wierd, i went on the datura site and it said there was 6 songs posted, i think it was the third one which had vocals on it.
Anyway, how long have you been playing for? do you know your theory and shit?

Yeah, the 3rd one with vocals on is another band.
The 1st one labeled 'Pod XT Pro Clip' or something is the one!
I've been playing close to 4 years now. I know pretty much zero theory.
I think I know 5 chords (1 which I know the name of) & 1 scale in total.
I'm not proud of this, and I would love to know my theory, but I just can't be bothered learning. I find learning shit too taxing. I
enjoy simply playing. If I progress on my own, so be it!

Thanks guys, the cool words are really appreciated!
I'm sure there's many aspects of playing that you guys would wipe the floor with me, though.
If I'm totally honest, I think writing is probably my strongest part of playing, which probably leads you to believe I'm semi-decent!
My lead skills are average at best, as is my theory etc.
Cheers!

Heheh, I already would've tryed by now but for a number of reasons, it'd be really hard to give it my best shot at this part of my life!
When the time's right, I'll hope to give it my best shot with a band.
