This is actually a little known fact.

Pantera did not write their own material.
They either bought it from songwriters, like most Pop stars do.

Except for earlier in their career, when they had Dave Mustaine
write their songs for them, but that was before they kicked him out.

Cemetary Gates is about a dog Phil had that got ran over by a float at Mardi Gras.

I don't get whats so funny.

Most of the posts weren't even about the song meanings.
"Pantera is so underrated, it's a shame. Phil has a 10 inch cock"

Some of the guesses are interesting, but half of these jokers
don't know what the fuck they're talking about. In the 'Cemetery Gates'
thread, one tool even says "CBH Rocks"

Who needs some website to interperet Pantera songs??
I'll help you all out.

Projects In The Jungle= Mostly bad ass, blatant songs about how much heavy
metal rules, and ballads based on basic human emotions like love and pride.

Metal Magic = Half the songs on this album obviously are about how cool
metal is, the other half are about sex.

I Am the Night = More blatant songs about rocking, sex, rocksex and rocking while having sex.
Some etheral feelings songs too.

Power Metal = Songs a little less blatant about rocking, metal, and more etereal feeling
songs. Some songs are violent too.

Cowboys From Hell = Ethereal more "poetic songs' about deeper
human emotion, grittier songs about society and crap.

Vulgar Display of Power= Semi-vague songs about feelings and stuff.

Far Beyond Driven= Increasingly vague songs about emotions
and drugs.

The Great Southern Trendkill= Vague songs about feelings
drugs, drugs, sex and drugs.

101= Two new songs about drugs.

Reinventing The Steel= Blatant yet, vague songs not about drugs.

Kind of interesting following the trends in their writing style...

Hellbound is about drugs to a T...Phil pretty much got stuck on writing about heroin or how much he loves Opal from the day Southern Isolation stuck a needle in his cock...

As far as I know since Phil has been in the band he has written ALL of his own lyrics.
Before Phil I think that Terry Glaze and the Abbott bro's had a hand in the writing. Am I wrong?
Also, Pantera never purchased any lyrics from outside writers. They would never sell out like that. If someone really feels thats the case then prove it.
