how to get out of a rut...

This is the 8th day in a row I've been in one... can't seem to break it. I don't want to hear that "listen to rap, or other kinds of music" bs... i've tried it and it doesn't work, for me, anyway. Any other bright ideas? I gotta start producing some shit because my other guitarist doesnt seem to have anything good up his sleeves at the moment... don't you hate that? 2 or more members in a band having a dry spell... always brings things down.
Anyway, have any thoughts?

 seriously, quite a few people have told me this... they always say something like "listen to the beat, it can give you great riff ideas".. then I proceed to say "I'm not fred durst, don't insult my intelligence"... well that was staged, but still. Something like that :D

In retrospect, that would probably work.

you could do a beat with your hands on your legs...and try to redirect it on your guitar....

just watched the paul gilbert instruction video II....

if you understand what i mean....
and what i always do...try a cover wich is gonna be a difficult one..so you ahve to practice, warm up etc......evenutally you nail the fucker down....and the creative-ism (?? ahum) will grow back at ya....

been there done that....
or if i don't got shit on my mind to play , i just put on a backnig track and start jamming/soloing with it....

check out http://members.home.nl/g.koelink than you get an idear.

stay up for 36 hours straight and pick up your guitar at 5 in the morning.
