Hey, I like it. Whether they were friends as kids or not. The whole thing is just jam packed full of symbolism. I think it's a nice way to pay a tribute.

Someone explain this symbolism to me. What's with the little kid with the fucked up skin banging a suitcase against a tree stump or whatever it was?

First time I've seen or heard the song before.

I thought the song was awesome whether is was a tribute or not, except for the solo, I was expecting a cool, epic solo yet all it turned out to be was a 10 second bit of bullshit. The video didn't symbolise anything really. Good song though.

I don't know if Dime and Zakk were friends at such a young age.
I thought they'd been friends for about 15 years or so now.

Even if Mafia sucks, and the song kinda sucks.
This video fucking rules.
No one knew Dime like Zakk did.

I just didn't know Dime wore such bad wigs when he was young.
The special appearance by Emperor Palpatine was odd.

Now Zak and Dime where very close friends and yes they did grow together in thier music and creation of songs and art , I will regret losing Dime for the rest of my life , just like alot of others will also , no I did not like the song , or video , I wish everyone would stop making money and gaining publicty off him , its wrong , so stop unless you want to donate to those who where injured and suffered the night it happened , to the Dimebag Darrel fund other then that stop , also to Zak he will always be with you and guide you down your path and he will never leave your side .
like he would for alot of us he loved his fans and he was in love with his music and he shared so much with everyone ,and he always will, now but in many other ways .
Okay I fixed the words I misspelled big oops , lol I'm not very good at writing guys I suck , but I'm a artist though , I love Zak he's good people .
He has Rita on the road with him last time I heard, Rockin Rita I love her
and I hope her and Vinnie or doing okay , like I said earlier Vinnie is opening a club in Las Vegas . I have known them for a very very long time, They or all good people . And I don't know if Vinnie is going to have a Halloween party this year are not we shall see , I miss Darrel badly

I'm sure it's been posted before but Wylde was definately a close friend of Darrell's, at just about every show he did for Mafia he'd talk about him for a good half hour.

The show I was at at the House Of blues didn't start until well around 11 PM when it was scheduled for 8, Zakk was drunk off his ass and ready to walk off stage. After somone threw a Pantera shirt on stage he went on about how him and Dimebag sat around drinking beers and Dimebag told him he was his best friend. He said he missed his wife and kid and did a very very very long improv solo for In This River, it was pretty good.

One of the roadies fucked up his PA and he threw his guitar into the crowd then walked off stage right after that song, me Blake and Kerry King kind of sat around waiting for a riot but nothing ever happened, he never came back out on stage.

Obviously he's pretty broken up about the shit, which is respectable. His music's pretty repetitive these days and has never been anything ground breaking but his guitar work is outstanding and his squeel technique is untouchable.

I'd say the highlight of that night was the roadies playing Pantera songs before Zakk sobered up enough to come on stage. It's funny how somone passing can turn everything into a giant cliche over night...either way Zakk is definately not doing anything to try and make money off of Dimebag's death and he'd probably knock anyone who had the balls to say it to his face in the jaw without a second thought.

Show some respect, they were best friends, like his music or not, don't disrespect a common bond and sure as shit don't disrespect Dimebag by talking shit on his brothers.

well you obviously haven't wasted $ on his cd's like i did.
zakk wydle has a very boring voice and his squeels aint very exciting, his solo's come at incredibly predicting times. boring , very boring stuff. only album i like is hangover music.

I own all his CD's, only one that I thought wasn't worth my money was Mafia...the rest have their gems...

I wasn't talking about how he composes his songs, I'm simply talking about his guitar skills ;)

Hangover music's alright, but some of the strictly piano ballads get old after a while...

"the rest have their gems... "

only 1 or 2 gems though wouldn't you say?

ok well you've wasted more $ on him than me.
i bought blessed hellride, thought it was good for about a month then no good, sold it. trouble is i bought it for $40 and prob only got $10 for it.
i've stilll got hangover music, and mafia, but i'm gonna sell mafia, even if the bastards at the cd shop only give me 10 bucks its still enough for a good feed or sum beers on the weekend.
most of zakk's loud songs i find boring, don't like his voice much, that dead meadow on hellride was good, most of his slow songs are good, but they're few and far between.

Stronger then Death and Sonic Brew are his two best albums in my opinion...Stronger Then Death definately has more then just two good songs on it, in fact I'd say it only has two or three bad songs on it...

Mafia just plain blows, he was experimenting with too much crap.

Blessed Hellride is a little upbeat compared to his other stuff I mentioned...Sonic Brew has somthing like 16 tracks and isn't just chorus, solo, chorus type shit through the whole album....Stronger Then Death is just plain heavy with some of the best intro's I've yet to hear out of him on songs...

Maybe I'm a biased fanboy cause the drummer was a friend of mine's cousin, who knows...you're paying way too much for the CD's, I fork over 14 a peice and I consider that to be too much....

Hit me up on AIM m0on187 if you've got DSL and I'll send you a copy of Stronger Than Death...
