Pantera means panther in spanish right? If so, is this some sort of tribute to the Black Panthers?
Hopefully not, I sure wouldn't want them associated to a group of terrorists.

Nah it's just a tribute to Spanish panthers, Vinnie was in a zoo in Madrid in 1976 when he saw some, ever since then he's been dedicated to their cause.
