My stoner friends at camp played me VDOP on a sailboat in northern Minnesota in the summer of '92. I guess that was that.
I believe it was HOLLOW that truly caught my ear off that record; then it led me down the long, jagged path to tr00 m3t4l with the rest of the album.

The Badge is the first song I heard. And I loved the vocals, and the end with "RIOT." I later realized that Cemetery Gates was NOT new to me but I consider it to be "THE BADGE" that got me into Pantera. Then when my buddy needed weed money I bought TGSTK off him for $5 because he kept playing War Nerve.
"The Badge"
"War Nerve"

The badge was the first Pantera song i ever heard but i wasnt really sure if it was for me at the time... but i used to watch ECW a lot at the time and a wrestler named RVD used "walk" for his theme song but it wasnt Pantera doing it, it was Kilgore. So when i DL'ed it from the internet i got both Kilgore and Pantera verisions.. needless to say the Pantera song killed shitty Kilgore... and it was all downhill from there
