Ive heard they have a really fat neck. To anyone who has a Dean or has played one, how does it compare to the neck of an epihpone les paul?

Les pauls are fairly chunky aren't they? My friends dad has one, i can't really remember how it plays though.

yes, they are quite chunky, older Deans are similar, but I haven't played a newer one to be able to tell...

i have 2 deans. a dean ml 79 and a dean ml F 79.

you might think theyre the same thing but the ml F has a floyd rose and thats the only difference.

the ml actually has a really lightweight body and a relatively thin neck. the ml F has a mid weight body and a kind of thick neck, i wouldnt call it fat, just a little chunky. i prefer the feel to the ml F much more than the ml's thinner neck

I fucked with a really cheap ml at a&r music and the neck was pretty damn big,i felt like i was playing my old les paul.I dont really like les paul necks. Hopefully all dean necks arent that fat.

My bro has a Dean Baby ML and an Epiphone Les Paul and they are both sitting beside me. Maybe it's just becuase it's a 'Baby' but there isn't much difference in them. I prefer the Dean to the Epiphone.

It has a neck like a baseball bat and the guitar has the breaking strain of a kit-kat.

AVOID Dean guitars and stick with the Washburn Dime series.

You have been warned.

ah i fucked up bad. i meant that the only difference between em ISNT just that one has a floyd and the other doesnt.
