Pantera420 wrote:kataklysm-i hear their new drummer can play everything on the album without triggers
Well obviously he can  Triggers don't help you play faster or better, they just amplify what you are playing, in a way.

I can't be bothered going into details of how they work etc.. But of course he can play the album without triggers. It'd just sound shit & weak if he didn't have triggers as an aid for listening... The snare & bass drum strokes would most likely be very quiet due to the lightness of the hits at a fast speed.

Chris Adler from Lamb of God fucking owns.

Lars Ulrich gets a lot of shit but he's actually a good drummer.

Of course he's not awesome or anything, but he's certainly not bad at all. Just because he doesn't impress you doesn't mean he's not good. His drumming is very appropriate and fits the music perfectly. I like it.

I agree with this. It's not always what you play, it's how you play it. Anyone could do 4 minuets of double pedal and frantic snare, but it might not fit the track.

Wise words from the 12-year old drum virtuoso of the PBB. PM me some lessons, I should pay you weekly to enlighten me on the finer aspects of the world of percussion. How about next Tuesday you teach me about paradiddles? 4 PM EST, Musicians Corner, thread 4. Meet you there.
