New amp

I'm thinking of buying a new amp but I haven't used one in years. Any experience based suggestions from anyone? I'm not into solid state or Line 6 type shit. Not looking for some ultra-crunchy Metal sound either.

I've considered a Dual or Triple Rectifier but they're a little more $ than I, a guy who makes music just for a hobby, can justify spending. Although I have seen them used on eBay for around 1K...

Same goes for Orange, though I'd love a Rockerverb 100 MKII.

I have no experience with Vox at all, Pfloyd. Could I get a lower gain Stoner/Doom sound out of it?

Stoner/Doom? I'd go with an Ampeg, Peavey, or Laney. And get a Big Muff.
