Fret Inlays

How would I go about removing fret-inlays? I have a pretty cheap Schecter i bought for about ~$400 and have had it for a few years. I like the guitar and it's got no problems for me except its stupid fret-inlays. They're ugly and childish looking. Should I try to sand down the fretboard a bit until I can pluck them out? or are they glued in and doing so would crack the fretboard or neck-wood?

You can put a heat gun on them and soften the glue and pluck them out with an exacto knife. Just wondering how you plan on filling them, and after you fill them how you plan on re-radiusing the fretboard?

Hadn't thought of that... i guess it's not a big problem, i'll just not use it for performances

This is my biggest beef with PRS guitars, they always have some fruity waves crashing with dolphins jumping out and butterflys flying! WTF IS THIS SHIT?!?!
