SJR was an enjoyable band. They probably didn't need to stick around as long as they did, though. Use Once and Destroy was fun, they put on a great live show. Shoulda done two or three tours and called it quits before releasing A Lethal Dose, which is dogshit.

SJR was alright for what they were. They were only big because of Phil, but most of it kicked ass. Seen them a few times, very violent pits. Fun band played for an hour and just left. It was cool...Just too many people acting and dressing like Phil kills it.

Phil's busy enough with other side projects that I don't see him getting tired of Down. They always have like five or six years between releases, and they aren't touring nonstop. They'll probably be around for a while.

I like that Phil is a big Hardcore Punk fan but he should never attempt it. SJR wasn't great. Arson Anthem, eh. He's too much of a redneck to really channel the essence of Hardcore Punk.
