I'd be a bit torn here on Friday and Sunday...

Friday - Rockhard, but I'd HAVE to catch the Morbid Angel spot, besides I heard Mayhem put on a shite show anyway..
Saturday - Rockhard - Exhumed, 1349, TomWarriorkon and of course almighty Bolt Thrower (and fatass Jo Bench!)
Sunday - Mainstage! Atheist! Orphaned Land! Opeth!

Seriously, and this is probably what you can expect.....what a shame as Blasphemer seems to HAVE to endure Necro's drunkass shit....Attila seems like a lunatic, but I'd rather see them with Maniac...

I'd RATHER see these guys, but Gahhl is not in the band anymore.... :x

Time for a fact check.

1. The current incarnation of Mayhem is amazing live.

2. Attila > Maniac

3. Gaahl is a mediocre vocalist. Gorgoroth is better without him.

No need to thank me.

Facts imply undeniability, not perception...
1) The current incarnation is only different by singer, yes? So NOW they're amazing?
2) I'm really torn between them. Attila is more psychotic vocally, but just because he comes out on stage dressed in trash bags one night, and a big goofy mask/wig or whatever props he uses the next night doesn't guarantee he's "greater". I mean we ARE talking about a guy who tried to sound evil and wound up sounding like a Nordic Popeye....Maniac always sounded more vicious to me.
3) I would have wanted their "show" more, heard their shit is crazy onstage. Gaahl still has a powerful presence I think. Who sings now for them?

oh yeah, I admire your haughtiness...but no thanks.

if i'm not mistaken the two mainstages are set up next to each other so there is no conflict there. you'd have to worry more about the bands playing in the tents.

Yeah the two main stage's are next to each other like Wacken. And with Hellfest you can't really tell who's going to clash on the smaller stages until the running order is out. But it's inevitable its going to happen. The 3 times I have been, there has been some ridiculously cunty clashes.

Anal Cunt should have been the surprise act, that would be fucking awesome.

1. Blasphemer left over two years ago. They have two guitarists now. Anyway, what I meant was that I've seen them recently and can state, without a doubt, that they're awesome live.

2. Even without the costumes Attila's stage presence is a lot better than Maniac's. He's also a much better vocalist, and uses an actual variety of styles. Beyond that, he's a much more interesting person to me and consequently I feel that he's a better fit for Mayhem, because he's not at all a typical black metal vocalist. I liked Maniac's work in Mayhem, though.

3. Gorgoroth's current vocalist is Pest, who was on Under the Sign of Hell. He also did some of the songs on Antichrist and Destroyer. He's the best vocalist they've had, if you ask me.
