 Every real PBB meet up all over the world is going to involve making fun of Chad. Wouldn't you shit if in between songs, Wino said "I have to go snort some bath salt" ?

KYLESA, RED FANG, HOWL, ATLAS MOTH Added To 'Metalliance Tour' - Jan. 31, 2011

KYLESA, RED FANG, HOWL and ATLAS MOTH have been confirmed as the support acts for the inaugural Metalliance Tour — featuring HELMET, SAINT VITUS and CROWBAR. The trek will cover the U.S. from March 17 through April 5.

Legendary alternative metal band HELMET will perform their 1992 platinum-selling release of "Meantime" in its entirety. The Interscope Records release gave the band mainstream attention with songs like "Unsung" and "In The Meantime". With the band's renewed success after getting back together in 2004, this tour will be one of the most anticipated of 2011.

One of the most highly influential doom metal bands in America, SAINT VITUS are regarded as one of the first bands of the genre starting out as early as the 1970s. The band featuring Scott "Wino" Weinrich, bassist Mark Adams, guitarist Dave Chandler and new drummer Henry Vasquez have influenced so many bands in doom and metal .

"SAINT VITUS is more than ready to infect the Metalliance Tour! We've been wanting to do something like this for some time now...so prepare for destruction!!" says lead guitarist Dave Chandler. The band has done a handful of shows and some European festivals but this will be their first full U.S. tour in over a decade.

CROWBAR frontman Kirk Windstein concludes, "Wow! This tour is gonna rule! I've loved HELMET since the beginning and loved ST. VITUS even longer. With the new CROWBAR record having hit the streets by then, look out! This bill will bring just what we need to crush each city with an avalanche of stylistic thunder!"

Metalliance Tour dates:

Mar. 17 - Dallas, TX - Southside Music Hall
Mar. 18 - Austin, TX - Dirty Dog / SXSW
Mar. 19 - New Orleans, LA - One Eyed Jacks
Mar. 20 - St Petersburg, FL - State Theater
Mar. 21 - Orlando, FL - Firestone Live
Mar. 22 - Greensboro, NC - Greene Street
Mar. 23 - Springfield, VA - Jaxx
Mar. 24 - Worcester, MA - Palladium
Mar. 25 - New York, NY - Irving Plaza
Mar. 26 - Cleveland, OH - Peabody's
Mar. 27 - Joliet, IL - Mojoe's
Mar. 29 - Denver, CO - The Summit
Mar. 31 - Portland, OR - Roseland Theater
Apr. 01 - Seattle, WA - El Corazon

Apr. 05 - Hollywood, CA - House Of Blues

Intronaut were originally announced but I guess they're off now. Seven bands for a club show seems a bit much.

not really. I've seen more than that when you throw in locals and shit. as long as they start the show at like 7 or something it would be fine.

Show was awesome! Missed the first two bands but saw Kylesa, Saint Vitus, Crowbar, and Helmet. Vitus was badass. Crowbar's set seemed kinda short but I think it was the same length as Vitus. Page's voice was kinda weak at times but the band was tight as fuck. I bought Meantime almost 20 years ago and this show made me feel old as fuck. All the old guys on this tour rocked though.

THE 2011 Metalliance Tour will have to move its Chicago show this Sunday, March 27 due to recent gang-related activity in the vicinity of the venue. The city has imposed a seven-day hold on the venue's operations license forcing the show to a new venue called bada brew (802 Theodore Street). The show will go on as scheduled. All tickets will be honored.
