You can buy a pickguard loaded with the pickups. And you can just buy a 24 fret neck and bolt it on there, but you better make sure it corresponds with your current scale length.

Ron Jarzombek has done this with his guitars, he says that he adds an extra 1 1/2" maple piece to the neck so it has 24 frets (some of them are up to 31 frets). So I'm thinking of trying the same thing if I ever own a Fender Strat and have enough money to perform some custom work to it.

Knid of a PRS style body. What kind of wood? What kind of wood are you planning for the neck and fretboard
What are you doing with the finish? Painting, Staining?

You think a guitar body finish make a different sound? Or is it just aesthetic
I was surprised at how much of a difference just the fretboard would make the guitars sound different. When i was trying out Strats at the store i tried 2 same guitars with Rosewood and Maple fretboards and the Rosewood had a smoother sound and the Maple had kind of a tingy sound.
