Interested in buying a Fender Strat.

First thing you may notice is the gay girly baby blue colour on this guitar, but I think it looks nice so fuck youself.

Anyways, I'm interested to playing some rock/blues whenever I get tired of playing metal all the time and want to play something different. I always hear about Telecasters being better than Strats but i don't really see the difference other than their looks.

I'll probably look like an asshole trying to play one of these guitars at a guitar shop since I have no music theory on blues, rock, any of the other genres but metal. And these kind of guitars aren't really made to be played in metal bands ofcourse since it has different features that aren't meant for that sort of music. I'm also wondering if it's neccessary to get a better Fender amp for this guitar since the one I have is really a piece of shit. I might get this guitar after I pick up my Jackson King V, I need a guitar with 24 frets if I wanna play Mustaines' solos...

Someone help me out with this.

The ones made in Mexico are cheaper..but I always buy stuff made in US so I'm getting my full money's worth. And as long as the guitar is in good shape and everything sounds fine then i guess I'll buy one used.

Because unless you get a really high end strat all you're getting is a squier with a fender sticker on the headstock.
Loud humming pickups, trems that instantly go out of tune, and cheap hardware.

Most new squier guitars are great value once they have some good pickups in. I would never consider buying a USA fender, but they are a lot more expensive here as they're obviously imports.

So far the cheapest Fender I found was around $2,200.

Yeah, every Squier I've picked up has played/sounded great. The Classic Vibe series especially. I'd have no problem using one of those as a main guitar. Don't be scared off by the brand name or even by regular Fenders that are made in Mexico. Just find one that's comfortable. Pretty much any Fender is going to be a workhorse of a guitar.

And yes, if you want to play blues/rock stuff a nice tube amp will go a long way. Maybe try to find a Blues Jr. used.

I'll probably just get one made in Mexico, still offers quality just as good as the US made Fenders just with a cheaper price.

The G&L's give Fender a run for its money, plus Wilkinson tremolo > vintage synchronized tremolo

I would spend under $2,500 on a guitar, but I'm just learning how to play a different style in guitar playing so I'm not sure whether to go all the way and spend a shit load of money on a guitar I'm practising on...

If you're seriously thinking of spending close to $2500 on a guitar that is bolt on, just go through this.

Same thing could be argued for PRS and most American companies.

I've never bought a new PRS. All of mine have been used but in mint condition. And I always sell them for more than what I paid for them.

Do you price to ebay standards or a blue book standard? Besides I will agree Warmoth is gay and I prefer Allparts.

I always price to ebay standards, never blue book. E-bay is reality and blue book is pipe dreams.

You should be able to get a great guitar for less than half that price.
