Well I originally planned to sell my guitar amp but after trying out some EH preamp and poweramp tubes I have changed my mind as now my amp sounds so much more better than with Mesa tubes.
Anyway, after I finish selling off a good chunk of my gear (amp/pedals) and get my tax return, I plan to buy a new guitar along with some new pedals. The pedals I have made the decision on (Zvex, Electro-Harmonix) but I torn between doing this:
A Schecter Corsair with Bigsby
or
Build my own telecaster at a discount since I worked at AllParts for a long time and got my own.
I have played many telecasters and know what I do and don't like, but not the Schecter but I know they are great guitars for the money.

Actually, just save your money up for an ES-335. I played one in the studio and it was like butter coming out of the speakers.

Between that Schecter and a build-a-Tele, I'd go with the Tele. I've been pretty torn between an Epi Riviera and a Lake Placid Blue Strat lately as my next guitar.

Get an American Standard Tele. You can get one for the same amount that i paid for my Strat, around $1200 to $1400

I know a friend that picked up one of these from the local pawn shop for $150. They go for about twice that (as they aren't made anymore), so he bought it. Typically, I tend to be pretty skeptical when it comes to B.C. Rich, but after seeing him play this guitar live it surprisingly sounded very good. I'm not sure if he has the version with this whammy. I do know that his has the widow headstock, too.

Don't listen to him. He is the biggest hipster on the planet. He shaves his head and sings death metal.

Fender came out with a strat that can sound like a strat and mimic the tele pretty well using electronics.
And for the fuck of me i can't find the model name of the guitar.

Ok i found the guitar but it's discontinued. You can prolly find one at a dealer still.
It's a Fender VG Stratocaster. Can sound like a strat, tele, acoustic (it sucks but it can double as slight reverb), 12 string. Can also mimic various tunings.
