This line-up is probably they best they have compiled yet. Some seriously mouth watering shows in there. Garcia doing Kyuss is one seems that Brant Bjork and Mondo Generator are playing the same stage on the same day. Rock Hard tent on the sunday is amazing.

in order to not be trendy, you have to use organs, slide guitars, and harmonicas? what about all those glam bands you listen to? they use the same instruments Slayer does. are they trendwhores too?

no they are not! Slayer is liked by too many people in the metal scene along with Pantera. I believe metal needs to get back to its roots.

how is someone like Ratt or Cinderella not a trendwhore when they were part of the glam trend in the 80s, while Slayer was one of the first thrash metal bands? thrash isn't even a trend because its still around. the trend is over for glam and hair metal.

Too many people nowadays are influenced by Slayer and Pantera. So many bands in communities are influenced by them. Nobody had any originality.

but glam metal is original? bands being popular and influencing other bands makes them trendy? the rolling stones are way more popular than slayer ever was and influenced way more bands. does that make them trendy?

The Rolling Stones rule! They have a cool image. Slayer and Pantera are overrated and their image isn't great.
