I obviously wouldn't turn one down, but it's still just a MIDI controller. You might as well learn 5 or 10 different instruments rather than spending 20 years trying to master this thing.

exactly... this thing is very cool but i feel like it's still just a toy. that's the problem with these synth-type controller instruments. that and for the most part they are emotionless.

I don't think it's fair to say that they're emotionless. Given the right circumstances, I'm sure people could pour their heart and soul into a song on something like this. The problem is that it will always cost at least $3k

actually i take that back. the first 30 or so seconds of the first video are pretty emotional. the problem i see though is that when you play the thing you are still just playing samples... no matter how high you set the sensitivity on the pads.

way too much money for some snes music.

The EWI largely does the same thing but for less money.

Still, it looks kind of cool. . . .
