I figured it out. I had everything wired up right initially, but taking the guitar to a room with better lighting revealed a tiny, almost hair thin piece of solder shorting my circuit. Easy fix though. My soldering iron fucking sucks...
I was never a fan of the active pickup until recently, and I got this one today used for dirt cheap so I couldn't pass it up.

Not yet. I'm still shopping around for a good deal on something I actually want. I have an old Korean Fender Strat I've had since I was 15 that is definitely a cheapy, but has a lot of sentimental value.croninburg wrote:What are you wiring it into? Did you get the explorer you were talking about?
I don't have a "nice" guitar right now because I sold off a bunch of shit when I got into the Electro-Computer shit. Mistake on my part. I used to have a nice S Series Ibanez... wish I still had it.

I never stopped listening to or liking Metal, I just stopped making it for a few years.
I'm doing some work on my guitar and planning to get a new one so I can start working on some new material that incorporates a respectable amount of some of the Electronic work I've done with a non-cheesy form of Metal. The guitar work I've been doing lately is kind of a Pelican meets Devin Townsend thing...
