This is not news and some of you probably already use this, but I'm just putting this here for whoever is interested.
As someone who knows jack shit about drums and drum programming I found this prog especially useful and very easy to use. It integrates into most music making/recording software as a visual plugin, which is a lot easier on the eyes than seeing the MIDI keyboard all the time. Comes with thousands of specially recorded WAVs by well known drummers and preset midi patterns.

Izzy: do you realize how broad "environmental science" is?
Izzy: it's like going to school for history
Izzy: well, more useful than that
Izzy: but an expert on the civil war won't know jackshit on uhh
Izzy: something that isnt the civil war
Hell yeah, I was playing with this shit in FL Studio. I felt like Tomas Haake for a few hours
Kevin James derp de derp. Derp de derpity derpee derp. Until one day aderp aderp aderp. Derp de derp, ta teetley tum. From the creators of Der, and Tum Ta Tittaly Tum Ta Too, Kevin James is Da Derp Dee Derp Da Teetley Derpee Derpee Dumb. Rated PG-13.
I have it with the Drumkit From Hell and I don't particularly like it. It takes forever to start up and then it'll start cutting out. There's not much variation in the drum sounds either. I was hoping for more variety in my kick drums.

I demand that the next person who gets it downloads all this stuff and reuploads it to like, mediafire or megaupload or whatever. And in less parts, if possible.
honestly, it's not worth the download. I downloaded it for like, a fucking week, and it won't even install on my comp. None of the expansion's installs can be found...just don't download it, yo.

Well I got it. So far I've only gotten the main one downloaded. But as soon as I can I will upload it to megaupload becasue mediafire only lets you do 100mb at a time and megaupload is 1gb limit

Edit: Megaupload's reinstated the 45 second wait thing again, apparently. I'm just hoping they didn't do anything with the lack of download limits.
Edit2: They put the download limits back up. Piss.
Edit3: Got them all downloaded. Just extracting now, which is actually taking longer than I thought it would.
... RRD, you use FL. How did you get this to work?
I've been trying to figure this out since I've downloaded it. I cannot run EZDrummer because I have NO FUCKING CLUE WHAT TO DO. I know it's a plug in. But I can't figure out how to run it. THe tutorials are no help because I do what the fuck it says and the fucking piece of shit won't fucking work.
someone post a tutorial on how to fucking use this program because clearly me and smkiller are too fucking stupid to try to use it. make it PC and MAC friendly!

ok i havent done this in a long ass time but this is what i did.
1. Take the EZDrummer folder (if you got drums from hell then do the same with that folder. the drums from hell folder should be called something like Toontrack DFH EZDrummer VSTi) and drop it into C/Program Files/Cakewalk/VSTplugins.
2. You should have a file called ezdrummer.dll it should be wherever you downloaded EZdrummer to. If you can't find it, use search.
3. take that file, and put it into the folder C/Program Files/Cakewalk/VSTplugins, the same folder as before.
4. open sonar
5. make a new song/template/project/whatever its called
6. go to the Options toolbar
7. click on "global"
8. click on "vst plug-ins" tab
9. now on the bottom of the box should be a VST-scan button. click this.
10. sonar should successfully find EZDrummer.
11. Click Ok, then click on "Views" toolbar
12. Click "synth rack"
13. in the top left theres a little plus sign. click it and a thing will pop up that says "soft synths" which is what EZDrummer is. click on this, then scroll down to VST plugins, and then to EZDrummer. click it.
14. Now click on a button in the Synth Rack that says "insert soft synth options".
15. click on "all synth audio outputs: stereo" and then click OK.
16. Now you have 8 or so tracks. Now open ezdrummer by double clicking on the little icon in the Synth Rack thats looks like a drumkit, click on Open Mixer on the bottom left, and on the left-most track (the kick/bassdrum track) it will say TRK1. Click on this, then set it as "multi-channel" so that the kick channel is separate from the snare top and hi-hats etc... (this whole step is so you can get EVERYTHING to sound the way you want. ie, the DFH kick isn't bassy enough for me so I EQ the bass drum and turn up the bass and a good deal of treble for click.)
thats about it. fuck around with the pre-set grooves and shit to get the hang of it. If it's not working just ask, I use sonar myself.

and how the fuck does this damn plugin work?!?!?!? I obviously don't know how to use it. I've done what I'm supposed to do in FL Studio and the shit doesn't fucking work

if you really want to get it working then tell me everything you've done to get it to work. Maybe you put some of the files in a plug-in folder and not a vst/vsti folder?
