Sperzel Locking Machine Heads

Post by whitemike »

I'm thinking about get a set of these for my Ibanez RGT as I'm tired of the locking nut/pads and I've heard these locking machine heads provide better sustain, tone, intonation and tuning.

Anyone use them or have any opinion on them?

They're quite expensive, around £50 for the set...

Just get some Gotoh locking tuners, they have a better chance of fitting into your Ibanez headstock. The problem with Sperzels is you will have to drill new holes for the tuning keys which makes it too much work imo.

the locking knobs will stop working if they get too dirty but they still stay in tune really good even if they arent locked. i recomend them. half of mine are caked with dried blood and beer but they still work.
Don't quote me boy, 'cause i ain't said shit.
