I am seriously disappointed with this pedal
I thought it was going to be the coolest fucking thing ever. You see a bunch of innovative guitarists use it and I thought it would be a creative goldmine. But it really does nothing other than make ear piercing high sounds and annoying the fuck out of me.
Any yes I said innovative guitarists which I know I am not one. But really, this pedal is a one trick pony for a lot of money. It's going on e-bay.
I've had a lot of fun with them on bass, actually. Mostly when I'm doing electronic-band kind of stuff though. I've never dropped the cash on the standalone unit, though; I've always had the effect in with other multieffects I use.

I'm not a guitar player, but one of my old guitarist called that pedal "a tone killer"....he has one of the smaller black first gen ones that he loves.
He said they are pretty hard to find now.

Yeah mine's currently residing buried under some other useless junk in a closet somewhere. If you want to sound like Tom Morello for a few minutes, okay, but otherwise fuck this pedal.

I had a patch on my old boss multi effect pedal, i thnik it was the GT3 and it pretty much sounded like Becoming. I can't think of the exact effect name.
I have a GT6 now and can't get the same sound.
Edit: It was a ring modulator

Bass players shouldn't really need a bunch of pedals. I had a Line 6 Pro (rack mount) and used 3 effects. the amp modeling was kind of stupid because I have an amp that is the sound I want. Now I use 3 boss pedals, a Keeley hot rodded compressor, a Keeley hot rodded distortion and a Chorus (which I'd like to have Keeley True Bypass done to it) This pretty much covers most of the sounds I need/use. Unless your in a experimental phase you shouldn't need much more.

It does matter. What's the point of getting the most high end equipment for simple jamming with friends?long4theblur wrote:Why does that matter?Motorhead wrote:Not that much, I'm not in a band.PABassPlayer wrote:Yeah, but the question is...how much are you willing to spend on them?Motorhead wrote:I need to get new pedals!

Because musicians enjoy making music no matter who's around.Motorhead wrote:It does matter. So I should buy the most expensive equipment possible?long4theblur wrote:Because musicians enjoy making music no matter who's around.Motorhead wrote:It does matter. Boss GT6B. If that won't fulfill your hobbyist requirements, nothing will.Motorhead wrote:Not that much, I'm not in a band. The distortions are alright on the GT6B, but the modulations and filters are pretty damn cool.Motorhead wrote:Yeah I had a boss distortion and wah, pretty good they werePfl?yd wrote:Boss GT6B. Yeh I fucking hated that pedal. They're stupidly expensive. Whenever you have it on it adds a fuck load of hiss and shit tone to your amp. And it breaks/fucks up so easily.
Only good thing it's good for is retaining it's value and being able to sell it on for about 20 less than you bought it for.
Probably one of the shittest pedals I've ever had, after the Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster or some shit Rat overdrive pedal

I'm sad to hear that, it seems like so much fun to use, for example, Dime seems to be lovingJesseJames wrote:
