We are proud to announce that we will be playing a 1 time celebratory show to honor our 10th anniversary as a band. You are all welcome to come to Peabody's Down Under in our hometown of Cleveland, Ohio on July 12th, 2008 as we play a unique blend of songs from the first 10 years of our career. We feel so blessed to be able to say we have been a band for 10 years and we can't thank you guys and gals enough. See you then...
I'm looking at you BT!!!!!!!

ouch.

Eh, they're competent enough, I tend to give them a pass for their, ahem, stylistic missteps. Anywhere in the C/B range is fair though.

Chimaira is getting better, album by album. It's more than I can say for most bands.

But I'm not a hugely complex person when it comes to metal. I have this little combination of things that I like and Chimaira has them, pretty much.

Hey, I rock some Sewn Mouth Secrets every now and then but come on, they're not exactly revolutionary. :jesus:

That's my problem with certain attitudes towards music. Why do they have to be revolutionary? Why can't they just be good at what they do? Whats wrong with that?

If we have to keep being revolutionary metal will no longer be metal. It's already bad enough with all these 2456 ridiculous sub genres.

I don't know where I'm going with this exactly. It's all simply a matter of opinion anyway. Chimaira, to me, sounds like a decent metal band.

Chill, niggas! I didn't say a single bad word about SG. They don't have to be revolutionary to be quite solid (they aren't, and are). Calling a rose a rose ain't hatin'.

Besides all that I think SG sounds pretty unique for the most part. When a song of theirs comes on anywhere, I know it right away.

Many good things happen when you stop letting Nickelback sign your paycheck as well as do your own production  :aargh:
