They are playing Manc Academy 3(which is tiny apparently) according to people at the mesh forum. I assume it will be in the gap from sat to thur. So its possible that more dates will get confirmed on those days.

It's not so bad. The capacity is only 500 but there are smaller venues around. Music Box is about 10 minutes walk down the road and you'd struggle to get 200 in there. It's a weird venue.

 I've just checked actually and all the websites say that it is 800 capacity but that is horseshit. It's a small square room about 10x10 feet and then a wide corridor that goes back about 30 feet and is the same width but you can't see shit pretty much unless you're in that small square bit.

I imagine they will upgrade to the bigger room anyway. They were booked to play the Academy 2 on the last tour. Demand for tickets will bump them up.

None of these dates will beat the intimacy of the show I saw at Rock City in 05. They played the basement room which holds around 350 people. It was intense as fuck.

Not if some other band are booked to play academy 2 or 1 on the same night!

Hmmmm. Gay. Totally not suited to supporting Meshuggah whatsoever. Fucking hell more like "Trigger The Drums".

Fuck it. I'm only concerned about one band anyway. To be honest I could care less if they had a support band. More time in the bar.

Fuck that was once again awesome!

Last night was brilliant. Excellent show, good sound, the pit was very brutal, great songs aaaannd... afterwards me and a few mates went up round the back of the venue to their tour bus where surprisingly noone else at all was and we got to meet and hang out with Meshuggah! Got some great pictures and had a really good laugh drinking and smokin some grass with them. Probably chatted to them for over an hour or so about random stuff and had a good laugh. They're really sound guys. I'll put the pictures up soon when I get them off my mate.

The setlist was the exact same as it's been for the past 2 or so months, which was unfortunate but didn't matter at all!

But yup, was well worth the wait! Hopefully it wont be a further 15 years before their return to Scotland...

EDIT: Pics!

The one, the only, Marten Hagstrom (and myself)

Me and Fredrik Thordendal!
