L500-XL pickup

Post by 13steps »

I need a better bridge pickup and i've only heard good things about them.
does anyone here know which ones are the ones that dime used, billawrence.com or billlawrenceusa.com? Don't take me for a fanboy wanting to copy dimes style, I just need a good pickup for playing metal/hard rock.

its real good for leads, real twangy and cuts through with alot of tone. i think it s too "nice" sounding compared to others like invader or emg ....

I bought it, used it for about a month and switched to a Duncan Invader...the XL500 has no balls at all...I dont know how Dime used it for as long as he did, there again most of his shit was probably modded in some fashion or another.

his sound wasnt really that "brutal" though, he just played really good and knew how to use his equipment...
