good cables
good cables
lately my bass has been having an output problem, i checked all the solder work and everything, and it's all fine. i came to the conclusion today it was my cable. what's a good brand cable to get, more specifically for a bass guitar?

I never had great luck with monster... i had 2 pedal cables at one time and both broke at the solder joints pretty quick.
When i went 2 moths ago for a new cable at guitar center, i was looking to spend around 50 on a 20 foot cable and pretty much had the choice of monster or mogami... i went with the mogami and it seems to be pretty nice. I did want to check out a george l's though. I think they have a set screw to hold the cable it's self... preventing it from twisting inside and breaking the solder joints.
Never did have any problems with planet waves circuit breaker cables. The breaker switch is really nice when switching guitars during a set... none of the cracklejacks.

I have been using the Planet Waves (make you own custom lengths) for about a year now with success. They are expensive, but so far have been worth it.

Monsters come with a lifetime warranty. I keep a spare in case one dies while we're on tour, but other than that I never worry about it.

I've been using a prolink performer for a while, the insulation is made by monster (or so it says on the cable), it's pretty good. I only bought it because it's 20+ feet with a 90 degree angle on one of the jacks, so it's tit fer me.
