No, for some stupid reason I haven't listened to Wolves in the Throne Room yet. I'll do so really soon. As for Enslaved, I've been looking for some of their older albums, but none of the stores here seem to have any. Looks like I'm gonna have to order online. I just found out that they're coming to Arizona in November, though, so I'm pretty excited about that. I'm also really looking forward to seeing Sigh with Mayhem.

haven't heard or heard of sigh.. i don't really have a chance to check new stuff out anymore though, which blows. don't worry about the enslaved, just download it then buy it! and did you listen to the songs i sent you? i've told you about this and sent them so many times

I can't (not enough HD space). I'll surely get some of their albums between now and November, though. Picked up their live DVD last week.

Enslaved or Wolves In The Throne Room? I finally listened to the latter. Pretty good stuff.

which one? they're both live.. live retaliation (krakow) and return to yggdrasil (bergen). euro metalheads seem so much more respectable than the fuckwads here. i saw vader a couple months ago and there was actually one of those stupid hardcore pit things, i don't even know what they're called. but everyone was punching and kicking and just acting like retards in general. it annoys the fuck out of me.
i saw celtic frost last night and am sorry to say, was disappointed. they played slower, it was heaps doom and really heavy but after a while i got bored. tom was way more old and disgusting than i thought too, haha. if you give a shit to see pictures let me know.
there's some tour coming up called heaven and hell, i only found out about it last night but apparently it's old news. sabbath, dio and down?! i'll have to do some searching. apparently it's at an arena and fuck that, i can't stand thousands of people so i might not go, depending. i don't know who's making up the sabbath lineup either so i'll have to look at that. but if down really are coming.. then i probably will go. haha fuck, i sound like hollis. hopefully i can meet phil and smoke heroin/eat pussy til my jaw breaks with him
apart from that all i got coming up now is enslaved and october can't come soon enough
i'll give you my email address perhaps so i can still somehow keep up with music. i don't have the internerd at home and i miss my music news and even hearing new shit, but anyway. glad you liked wolves too!

Return To Yggdrasill. I thought the audience was a bit lifeless.

Great DVD, though. The interviews were pretty interesting, too (they seem like cool dudes). I really need to get more of their music.

Hahah, I've heard people complain about them slowing their older stuff down, but I really enjoyed them when I saw 'em back in October. I'd like to see those pictures.
You should go to that Heaven and Hell show. Heaven and Hell is actually Dio-era Sabbath. They just couldn't use the Black Sabbath name. Down being on the bill is just the icing on the cake.

yeah i thought they were boring also, then i thought they were just considerate and all there for the right reasons, all enjoying the show and not being annoying fucks like just about everyone here.
i just had a quick look at upcoming gigs and porcupine tree are rumoured to be coming, i never liked them but got their dvd a few weeks ago and i really loved it, so i'll probably go see them. i missed sunn o))) and i'm totally fine with that, i'm sure i didn't miss out. isis were enough noise/doom/rubbish for me. i want to see neurosis though. i know they're all different, but it's the same kind of shit to me anyway. isis are cool, but not something i wanna see live. also saw that testament are already planning to come back, with EXODUS!

in early 08 for a national tour. you know i think i enjoyed testament more than i did satyricon, which is a huge call from me, haha. chuck seemed like such a good dude and it was so much fun, plus testament rule of course. it'll be awesome to hear a different setlist too. i'd better not miss out on eyes of wrath second time round.
i'll try do the pictures this afternoon, i have some lame ones on my phone so i'll email them to myself later if possible, but they won't be the greatest. a friend is supposed to be sending me some decent ones later, so yeah i'll get them to you when i can. they actually played at the same venue testament did, think the capacity is about 700, so that gives you an idea on that also.
yeah i realise i should go, i loathe big gigs though, looooathe. i saw some other gigs i wanted to mention but i'm outta time, anyway nice to 'chat' to you again!

I was most disappointed that Celtic Frost only played two songs from Monotheist when I saw them. Progeny or Ground would have been great songs to open a live show with.

oh well hellhammer broke his arm so i doubt this tour will happen. he is overqualified to play black metal and needs to play in a good thrash or death metal band.

You gotta be fuckin' kidding me.

It will probably be Tony Laureano since he is filling in on the current dates so far.

Season of Mist, Thunderdome Booking, and Decibel magazine have announced the cancellation of MAYHEM’s “Deconsecrate the States†2007 U.S. tour that was scheduled to launch in July.
During his recent stint across the U.S. with fellow Norwegian countrymen DIMMU BORGIR, MAYHEM drummer Hellhammer suffered an unfortunate and serious injury to his right limb. It is impossible for him to play any time soon as he is currently scheduling surgery and will need rest and rehabilitation in order to heal his impaired arm. Being such an indispensable part of the band, fellow members Necrobutcher, Blasphemer, and Attila realized that they are not complete without him and had no choice but to cancel this current U.S. jaunt.
The band have issued this statement, “The power of MAYHEM must come at full force and without Hellhammer, it is impossible for us to accomplish this feat. We deeply regret having to cancel the tour but we feel that there truly was no other option. We shall however return stronger than ever to deconsecrate your shores as soon as humanly possible!â€

Sucks, but I'm glad they decided not to tour with a session drummer. I just hope Hellhammer heals okay.
